Jan is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches and can match her approach to the needs of the clients. Approaches can be integrated or specific and include trauma and trauma-informed therapy, ACT, CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, EFT, SFT, and PVIT. These approaches can help individuals with many personal goals and may include working with trauma, anxiety, depression, burn-out, conflict, ADHD, procrastination, identity, relationship issues, toxic environments etc.

Telling our story can help us to understand our identity, needs, challenges, and strengths. Our stories can be shared through talking therapy, art, movement, play, drumming, writing etc. Counselling can help us tell those stories. Jan has over 20 years of experience working with people who want to improve their lives. She has specific training in relationship counselling, trauma, mood regulation, addictions, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and motivation. Jan specializes in a variety of talk therapies such as Narrative Therapy, CBT, and DBT, that are trauma-informed. Jan also specialized in creative and mind-body-focused therapies that are more experiential.
